Marc will be responsible of re-enforcing Emovis´ local presence in US and Canada and grow the business in key areas such as Road User Charging (RUC), Free Flow and Urban Mobility Services.

Marc has thirty years of progressive experience in engineering, project management, and business development in the RUC industry. His expertise lies in tolling systems and back-office operations and he is familiar with the migration of cash tolling to multi-lane free flow electronic tolling environments.

With a strong experience working with multiple agencies in the US for Electronic Toll Collection, Marc is well versed in intelligent transportation systems, sensor technologies, radio frequency identification (RFID) applications and emerging mobile applications.

He was previously Vice President at Cubic, responsible for business development for road user charging and Xerox/Conduent where he worked with multiple toll agencies in the United States on Electronic Toll Collection pursuits and projects, including dynamic pricing. He also served as Xerox’s Vice President of Tolling, located in the Netherlands where he pursued global road user charging and congestion pricing projects. Prior to Conduent and Xerox, Deflin worked in leading transportation service and technology companies including Raytheon Systems Company, Hughes Aircraft Company, Telvent Transportation and start-ups – At-Comm Corporation and SpeedInfo.

Deflin graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also has a Master of Science in Industrial Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University.
