We are searching for an experienced Human Resources Generalist with a generalist background. Reporting the Head of HR, North America, the HR Generalist will manage all aspects of HR (Recruitment, Training, Payroll Management, Employee Relations and Compensation and Benefit Management).  You will be required to use our payroll software with accuracy and efficiency as well as maintaining HR records/documents.  The HR Generalist will support an overall coordinated approach to the development, management, and implementation of HR activities for our business activities in the United States and Canada.


  • Assist the Head of HR to ensure that HR policies are implemented; that HR services are integrated to meet operational needs; and that HR activities are in keeping with the human resource strategy
  • Provide the Head of HR with efficient, timely and accurate information to enable both forward planning and measurement of staffing-related activities
  • Ensure that resource requirements are processed in accordance with financial budgetary limitations, the resource plan and HR policy requirements
  • Work with the Head of HR to build and maintain the manpower plan and co-ordinate overall workforce supply and demand, anticipating recruitment needs, exploring recruitment options and actively manage the organisation of the recruitment process
  • Processes company’s payroll every pay period
  • Understanding of employment and payroll taxes for the United States and Canada
  • Experience of administering 401k and related employee benefits
  • Complete all operational HR administration and functions including record and file keeping, handling of queries /issues, handling of new starters and leavers and associated paperwork, handling of terminations and redeployment
  • Manage the Recruitment & Selection process for all employees (organising interviews, reference checking Issuing of contracts and all new hire paperwork)
  • Track and facilitate probation process and annual Performance Appraisal processes with management and staff
  • Onboarding of  new employees


  • Degree/Masters in HR
  • APA (American Payroll Association) qualification desired
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a busy HR environment
  • Previous experience in HR Admin role (prior to HRG/HRBP experience) distinct advantage
  • Grievance/Disciplinary case management experience
  • Must have HR Database/HRIS experience
  • Capable of managing absence/sick/leave records for all staff disciplines
  • Experience across a range of HR functions (recruitment, training, Employment Relations, performance management, payroll)
  • Proven work experience in Payroll Processing and Human Resources
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Good time management and organizational skills
